Lincoln County Jail |
Summary:
Sheriff Dotson is pleased to announce that three Corrections Corporals have successfully graduated from an in-house academy. This academy was designed by Sergeants Tom Graham and Barbara Perry specifically for Corrections personnel.
Each Corporal participated in approximately 40 hours of training. Their one week training included supervisory operations and procedures specific to jail needs.
Topics included were Americans with Disabilities Act; inmate programming; health care management; security issues and administration.
A final assignment given to the Corporals was to improve the efficiency of any area in the jail. The team decided to establish a report writing room for the arresting officers. This small room off of the booking area gives the arresting officers an area to sit down, write their necessary reports and make any necessary phone calls. The outcome of this assignment has shown to be very productive.
