Summary:
On June 07, 2008 at about 5:30 AM the Waldport Fire Department was dispatched to an address on SW Pacific View Ct. in Waldport in response to a 911 call of a 22 month old child who was unconscious and not breathing. The child was pronounced dead at the scene. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched and were assisted by the Newport Police Department. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Detective Trish Miller responded and initiated an investigation. There are no indications of foul play. The cause of death is undetermined at this time and an autopsy of the child is pending by the Medical Examiners Office.
