Summary:
On 06/03/08 at about 8:16 pm, Deputy E. Gulbranson was dispatched to a citizen report of a possible D.U.I.I. Deputy Gulbranson located the vehicle traveling over the Alsea Bay Bridge in Waldport. Deputy Gulbranson contacted the driver, Robert James Watson, age 19 from Cadillac, Michigan. Watson showed signs of impairment and Deputy Gulbranson conducted a D.U.I.I. investigation. Watson failed the tests and was arrest. He was transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he consented to a breath test. The test revealed his BAC to be .00%. At this point, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Deputy Lance Cummings responded to the jail to assist. Watson refused to a DRE evaluation. Watson was lodged for D.U.I.I. and his bail was set at $7500.00.
