Summary:
On May 30th 2008, at about 5:10pm, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Sorby responded to a shots fired call in the 4400 block of South Coast Highway in South Beach, Oregon. When Deputy Sorby arrived on scene he learned that Robert L. Field, age 60 of South Beach, shot a neighbor's domestic cat with a 22 caliber long rifle. Deputy Sorby took Field into custody for Animal Abuse I and Reckless Endangering. Deputy Sorby transported Field to the Lincoln County Jail where his bail was set at 22,500.00.
