Summary:
On May 19th, 2008 at 4:03 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Derek Etheridge was dispatched to a traffic crash at 2129 N Coast Hwy in Newport. When Deputy Etheridge arrived, only one vehicle remained at the scene. The driver of the vehicle reported she had been rear-ended by another vehicle, who then left the scene before providing any contact or insurance information. The driver of the other vehicle, 28 year-old Kimberlee Williams of Newport, was later located and subsequently arrested for failing to perform the duties of a driver when an injury traffic crash has occurred. Williams was taken into custody and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail where she was lodged. Her bail was set at $25,000.
