Summary:

On April 29, 2008 at approximately 9:50 AM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Derek Etheridge responded to an assault at an address on Little Switzerland Rd in Tidewater. Upon arrival Deputy Etheridge contacted Christopher Douglas, age 29 of Newport, and his ex-girlfriend who had been assaulted by Douglas. After an investigation, Douglas was taken into custody for Domestic Assault IV (Felony). The charge was enhanced to a felony because the individual's joint minor child was present during the assault. Christopher Douglas was transported without incident to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged, his bail was set at $25,000.
