Summary:

On April 18, 2008 at 2:48AM Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of Broadway St. in Waldport, OR. LinCom received three individual complaints of a full size white crew cab pick up traveling at a high rate of speed up and down Broadway St. driving through residential lawns.

Shortly after the calls, Deputy Colin Teem observed a full size white crew cab pickup operated by Steven Buck Unger, age 19 of Waldport, driving over the curb into the Ray’s Food Place parking lot. Deputy Teem conducted a traffic stop and contacted Unger who displayed signs of impairment. Deputy Teem conducted a DUII investigation, ultimately placing Unger into custody. Deputies checked the area and found several areas where Unger had driven through grass lawns causing extensive damage.

Unger was taken to the Lincoln County Jail and took a breath test. The test showed Unger to have a .20%BAC. Unger was lodged for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving and three counts of Criminal Mischief II. Unger also received citations for Open Container and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Unger had a bail set at $37,500.00.
