Summary:
On April 5, 2008 at about 1:00PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Forest Deputy Gary Davey conducted a traffic stop on 32 year old Joshua Russell of Burntwoods and 25 year old Scott Russell of Lebanon after observing them leaving the forest with two truck beds full of wood. In making contact with the subjects, Deputy Davey discovered they had cut the firewood from public lands overseen by Oregon Department of Forestry without a permit. Deputy Davey issued the Russells Criminal Citations for the Cutting / Transporting of a Minor Timber Product without a Permit and released them at the scene.
