Summary:

On March 16, 2008, at about 4:44am, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Sorby responded to a domestic disturbance at the Dublin House Motel in Yachats, Oregon. Deputy Sorby took Ryan Smith, 29, from Illinois, into custody for Domestic Assault II, Assault IV, Menacing, and Criminal Mischief II. Deputy Sorby learned Smith had assaulted his girlfriend during the altercation. Smith punched out the window in his girlfriend's vehicle and destroyed the television set, lamp, and doorframe in the hotel room. Smith was lodged at the Lincoln County jail where his bail was set at 47,500.00.
