Summary:
On March 20, 2008 at approximately 10:00 PM, Deputy Eric Sorby and Deputy Colin Teem with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office contacted Allen J. Beeberger 56 years old of Waldport, OR camping under the south end of the Alsea Bay Bridge in Waldport, OR. Deputies advised Beeberger Oregon Department of Transportation has requested enforcement of subjects camping under the bridge and advised him he needed to leave. Beeberger complied and left the location.
Several hours later Deputies Sorby and Teem found Beeberger camping under the bridge in the same place. When Deputies told Beeberger he was Trespassing he reached into his coat pocket and brandished a knife and threatened the Deputies with the knife.
Beeberger was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Beeberger was lodged on Criminal Trespass II and two counts of Menacing. Beeberger’s bail was set at $17,500.00.
