Summary:

On March 13, 2008 at approximately 7:30 PM, The Lincoln County Communications Agency(Lincom) received two separate driving complaints regarding a red Saturn driving south on Highway 101 through Ona Beach. Lincom gave a radio broadcast to all patrol units advising the red Saturn was traveling into the oncoming lane.

Moments after the radio broadcast, Deputy Colin Teem with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office located the red Saturn traveling south on US Highway 101 past Sandpiper Dr. in Waldport. The vehicle was traveling approximately one half a car’s width over the white fog line. The vehicle turned onto Bayshore Dr. and nearly drove off the roadway. Deputy Teem conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Floyd Lewis Baltezore, 26 of Sweet Home, OR. Baltezore exhibited signs of impairment and a DUII investigation was conducted. Baltezore was subsequently taken into custody for Driving under the Influence of Intoxicants. Further investigation revealed Baltezore had purchased alcohol and provided it to two under age females that were in the vehicle.

Baltezore was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, three counts of Reckless Endangering, two counts of Furnishing Liquor to a Minor and his bail was set at $52,500.00. Both female juveniles were issued a citation for Minor in Possession of Alcohol by Consumption.
