Location:	NE Mill St. in Waldport, Oregon

Summary:

On March 9th, 2008 Lincoln County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a report of a Domestic Assault occurring on NE Mill St. in Waldport, Oregon. Upon arrival Deputy Cummings learned Michael J. Mauk, age 31 from Waldport, Oregon, had assaulted his girlfriend. Mr. Mauk had left the scene. During the investigation Deputy Cummings discovered Mr. Mauk was hiding at a neighbor's apartment. While attempting to take Mr. Mauk into custody a neighbor, identified as Jeremey J. Miller, age 29 from Waldport, Oregon interfered with the police investigation.

Mr. Mauk was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on the charge of Assault IV Domestic. Mr. Mauk was also cited and released on an unrelated out of county warrant for Failure to Comply on an original charge of Assault IV. Mr. Mauk remains lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a bail set at $7,500.00.

Mr. Miller was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on the charge of Interfering with a Police Officer. His bail was set at $7,500.00.
