Summary:

On February 23, 2008 Deputy Cummings, from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was working a DUII traffic safety grant funded by the Department of Transportation when he observed a red Chevy Malibu traveling north on U.S. Hwy 101 near milepost 143 in South Beach, Oregon. The vehicle failed to maintain its lane of travel so a traffic stop was performed. The driver, identified as Jo Ann Bollinger, age 76 from Newport, Oregon displayed signs of impairment. Deputy Cummings conducted a DUII Investigation and eventually arrested Ms. Bollinger for Driving While Under the Influence of an Intoxicant. Ms. Bollinger was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where she provided a breath sample. Her BAC was measured at .15% nearly twice the legal limit. Ms. Bollinger was lodged at the jail and her bail was set at $7,500.00 Her vehicle was also impounded.
