Summary:
On January 25th, 2008 Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Deputy Cummings conducted a traffic stop on a red 2004 Ford pickup near the intersection of W. Olive St. and U.S. Hwy 101 in Newport after observing the pickup make a left hand turn without turn signal use. During his contact with the driver, identified as Scott Dasenbrock, age 42 of Newport, Oregon, Deputy Cummings observed several signs of Impairment. Deputy Cummings conducted a DUII Investigation and arrested Mr. Dasenbrock for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mr. Dasenbrock was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he provided a breath sample. Mr. Dasenbrock's BAC was measured at .19%. Mr. Dasenbrock was lodged at the jail and his bail was set at $7,500.00.
