Location:	Forest Service Road 1861, Otis, Oregon

Summary:

On 27 January 2007, Deputy Vertner, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and emergency responders with Pacific West Ambulance, North Lincoln Fire and Rescue, and the United States Forest Service, responded to milepost 2 on Forest Service Road 1861 in Otis on a report that a subject was involved in a traffic crash, was injured and trapped in the vehicle. David Michael Sears Jr., 24 years of age from Otis, was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital by ambulance and later transferred to Portland Emanuel Hospital. Investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
