Summary:
On January 19, 2008 at approximately 3:00PM, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Colin Teem was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at a residence on N. Bayview Loop in Waldport, OR. Deputy Teem observed a vehicle traveling south across the Alsea Bay Bridge matching the description of the suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was displaying two different license plates at the time of the incident, neither of which belonged to the vehicle itself. Deputy Teem conducted a traffic stop at Highway 101 and Highway 34 in Waldport. The driver was contacted and identified as 23 year old Leo Luke Limbrunner of Newport and Portland, Oregon.
A routine check of the vehicle in Limbrunner’s possession revealed it had been reported stolen out of Portland, OR A license check revealed Limbrunner’s driving privileges were suspended in Oregon.
Deputies performed a search of the vehicle and located Methamphetamine, a digital scale and a large amount of US currency.
Limbrunner was arrested and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on one count each of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Limbrunner’s bail was set at $125,000.00. Limbrunner also received citations for Driving While Suspended and Illegal Display or Alteration of Plates.
