Summary:
On January 23rd, 2008 at about 11:43pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies David Hawley and Chris Miller responded to a residence in the 100 Block of Pearl Street, Gleneden Beach, Oregon, regarding a report of a domestic assault. Upon their arrival, they found a young female adult hiding with her infant daughter behind the Gleneden Beach Fire Station where she had run to in an effort to get away from her husband, 25 year old Elijah B. Hinson of Thompson Falls, Oregon.
The woman told deputies she had been hit in the face, choked unconscious and had her arm injured by Hinson while she was holding their baby in her arms. The woman fled the residence with her baby and a cell phone to call for police assistance.
Deputies contacted Hinson and arrested him for Felony Domestic Assault IV, Menacing and Strangulation. Hinson was transported to the Lincoln County Jail. His bail was set at $40,000.
