Incident:	Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon

Time Occurred:	Approximately 1:30 PM
Location:	2790 Alsea Hwy, Waldport, OR

Summary:

On January 2, 2008, a deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office assisted Parole & Probation Officers at a residence in Waldport, OR. While assisting, the deputy learned from P&P Officers that 23 year old Lad Joseph LaPierre of Waldport, OR, was in possession of an illegal knife. LaPierre was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon and transported to the Lincoln County Jail. LaPierre was lodged on $7,500.00 bail and also had a P&P Detainer placed on him by Parole & Probation. Another female was arrested at the scene by P&P Officers and three shotguns, discovered in a separate room, were seized by the Sheriff's deputy. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed at a later time.
