Incident:	Fail to register as a sex offender

Summary:

On December 8th 2007, at about 10:44 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sorby contacted Michael Reed, age 29 of Newport, on a traffic stop near the intersection of West Highway 20 and "A" Street in Toledo. When Deputy Sorby ran a wants check on Reed he found that Reed was a registered sex offender out of Yachats. Further investigation revealed that Reed no longer lived at the address listed on his sex offender registration. Deputy Sorby placed Reed in custody for failing to register as a sex offender and transported him to the Lincoln County Jail. Reed's bail was set at 7,500.00.
