Summary:

On November 13th, 2007 at about 3:17am, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a burglary at Bill's Chevron gas station at 520 NW Hemlock Street, Waldport, Oregon. Deputies found a window had been broken and the safe removed from the office of the business.

A witness reported two subjects carrying the safe in the alley behind the business, and later that day Deputy Chris Miller located the safe at the residence of Joshua Hernandez, 19 of Waldport. Hernandez and a 16 year old male juvenile were arrested for the burglary. The stolen property was recovered and placed into evidence. Both the juvenile and Hernandez were arrested for Burglary II, Criminal Mischief I, and Theft I.

Hernandez was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on $75,000 bail. The male juvenile was lodged at the Juvenile Detention Center in Newport.
