Incident:	DUII crash and arrest

Time Occurred:	Approximately 3:30 PM
Location:	South Schooner Creek Rd., Lincoln City, OR

Summary:

On November 12, 2007, Deputy Boys of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a single vehicle crash near Milepost 6 on South Schooner Creek Rd. Upon arrival, Deputy Boys received information the driver was John W. McKevitt, 56 yrs. of age, of Lincoln City and the crash was alcohol related. Deputy Boys conducted a DUII investigation. McKevitt was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital via ambulance. Deputy Boys cleared from the scene and contacted McKevitt at the hospital where he determined McKevitt was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the crash. McKevitt was cited and released for Driving under the influence of intoxicants. McKevitt's vehicle was impounded.
