Sheriff's Deputy Graduates from FBI National Academy
Lieutenant Curtis Landers of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office graduated from the FBI National Academy (FBINA) in Quantico, Virginia on December 14, 2007. Lt. Landers is the second member of the Sheriff’s Office to graduate from the FBINA with Sheriff Dotson having graduated in 2005.
Attending the FBINA is a prestigious opportunity for a very small percentage of law enforcement executives and administrators.
Lt. Landers attended college courses in Effective Writing, Leadership for Law Enforcement, Legal Issues for Command-Level Officer, Labor Law Issues for Law Enforcement Administrators, Statement Analysis, and Fitness in Law Enforcement.
Lt. Lander’s class included 301 students for 26 countries. There were many opportunities to learn from other police administrators about public safety programs, community outreach, leadership, and much more.
“We are extremely proud of Lt. Landers and his recent attendance and graduation from the FBI National Academy”, said Sheriff Dotson. “It will take many months to learn and analyze information Lt. Landers acquired during his 10-week training to determine how our citizens can benefit from his experience”, added Sheriff Dotson.
Lt. Landers returned to his normal duties on December 17.
