Summary:
On 10/22/07 at about 6:42 pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Gulbranson was dispatched to the area of Highway 101 and Highway 34 in Waldport, regarding a report of a hit and run. The victim reported that the driver of the suspect vehicle appeared to be intoxicated and left the scene after striking his vehicle. Deputy Gulbranson responded and contacted Lawrence Dean Pendarvis, age 61 of Seal Rock. Pendarvis showed signs of intoxication and Deputy Gulbranson conducted a D.U.I.I. investigation. Pendarvis was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he refused to submit to a breath test. Pendarvis was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for D.U.I.I. and Fail to Perform the Duties of a Driver (hit and run). His bail was set at $15,000.00. He was also issued a citation for Breath Test Refusal.
