Summary:

On October 6, 2007 at approximately 4:15pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Sergeants Adam Shanks and Mark Meister responded to a residence in the Lost Creek area of South Beach on a reported domestic disturbance. Sergeant Shanks contacted an adult male at the location and learned he was assaulted by his live-in girlfriend, 39 year old Melody H. Chaney, also of South Beach. Upon completing an investigation, Sergeant Shanks arrested Chaney and lodged her at the Lincoln County Jail on one count of Domestic Assault in the fourth degree. Chaney's bail was set at $7500.00.
