Summary:
During a routine patrol Lincoln County Sheriffs Office Deputy Barry Bruster made contact with a group of young adults that were consuming alcohol on Cruiser Street in Bayshore. It was determined that 2 people from the party were minors and had been consuming alcohol. Miles Miller, age 20 of Portland, and Phillip Violet, age 20 of Corvallis, were cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has had a zero tolerance policy regarding MIP offenses for over 15 years. Since the beginning of the year 116 MIP citations have been issued by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. During the same time in 2006, 88 MIP citations were issued and 80 citations were issued during the same period in 2005.
