Summary:
On August 31, 2007, at approximately 1:30 PM, a home owner in Lincoln Beach reported to Deputy Boys, with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, that her home was burglarized and numerous items were missing. The home owner told the deputy she had some workers at her home painting earlier in the day. The Sheriff's Deputy investigated the incident and learned that Matthew Franklin Self, 22 yrs. from Lincoln City, was one of the painters at her home on the day of the burglay.
On September 15, 2007, Deputy Boys contacted a witness to the burglary and obtained a statement. Deputy Boys contacted Self at the Lincoln County Jail, he had been arrested earlier for an outstanding warrant, and charged him with Burglary I and Theft II. Self's was lodged with a bail of $125,000 for the charges stemming from this incident.
