Summary:

On September 7, 2007 at approximately 3:00pm, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Forest Deputy Gary Davey arrested 22 year old Miguel Solis-Velono and 19 year old Elda Hernandez both of Newport, Oregon, for Criminal trespass II and Cutting / Transporting of a Minor Timber Product. The arrests stemmed from an investigation Deputy Davey conducted during which he determined both subjects were harvesting salal on Forest Capital property without a permit. Solis-Velono and Hernandez were cited to appear in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
