Summary:
On September 5, 2007 at approximately 7:42pm, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls reporting two motorists were assaulting a man on a bicycle near the intersection of US Highway 101 and Arizona Street in Yachats, Oregon. Deputies Lance Cummings and Barry Bruster responded to the area to investigate. The deputies learned 42 year old James F. Sells and 24 year old Jospeh J. Gallagher, both from Yachats, Oregon had chased down a bicyclist with their cars and assaulted him. Deputy Cummings later located both subjects at their residence. Mr. Sells and Mr. Gallagher were cited and released on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Harassment and Reckless Endangering.
