Summary:
Sheriff Dennis Dotson is pleased to announce Deputy Ryan McPartlin has sucessfully graduated from the 16-week Basic Police Academy at the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) in Salem, Oregon. The police academy offers 640 hours of law enforcement training to the students. Some of the topics covered in the academy include ethics and professionalism; communication skills; criminal and traffic law; criminal investigations; firearms and defensive tactics; report writing; and emergency vehicle operation. Deputy McPartlin will be required to complete a 17-week Field Training and Evaluation Program with your Lincoln County Sheriff's Office prior to his release as a solo status patrol deputy.
