Summary:
On May 13, 2007 Lincoln County Sheriff Deputy Bruce McGuire graduated from the Oregon State Marine Board's Marine Academy in Astoria. This two week academy instructs students from around the state in all aspects of Marine enforcement including marine laws, water survival as well as boat handling. After each class graduates, one student is selected by the instructors to receive the Don Christensen Award. This award is given to the student who puts out the most effort and has an excellent attitude. Deputy McGuire received this honor and recently received his award. He is pictured here with Sheriff Dotson.
