Summary:

On July 20, 2007, at approximately 1:30 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Boys was dispatched to contact an anonymous complainant regarding possible drug activity at 2371 Salmon River Highway, Otis, OR. Deputy Boys, who was about a mile away, contacted the complainant by phone and received information regarding large amounts of suspected drug traffic in and out of the residences at spaces 16 and 22, of the Salmon River Trailer Park. While receiving the information, Deputy Boys noticed a suspicious man walking by his patrol car and told the complainant he would have to call him back. The deputy contacted the suspicious man, who identified himself as Howard P. Profitt, 46, with address of space 22, Salmon River Trailer Park (the residence the complainant was reporting). Deputy Boys obtained consent to search Profitt and found him in possession of Methamphetamine and a hypodermic syringe. Profitt was placed under arrest for Unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Deputy Boys and additional deputies went to space 16, of the Salmon River Trailer Park, and contacted Rodney A. Ruiz, 40, of Otis. Ruiz gave consent for a search of the residence. Inside deputies found methamphetamine, methamphetamine smoking devices, a set of scales and marijuana. The illegal substances were seized. Ruiz was placed under arrest for Unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Deputies then went to space 22, of the Salmon River Trailer Park, and contacted Isabel A. Schuchardt, 47, of Otis. She gave permission to the deputies to search the residence.
