Summary:
On July 16, 2007 at approximately 5:24 PM, a dispute was reported to LinCom in the area of NE Collins St, Depoe Bay, OR. The dispute soon moved to the area of Cook Ave, where it was then reported as a physical fight between several persons. A deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene as did two troopers with the Oregon State Police. The deputy made contact with a victim who said he'd been assaulted by his sister and her husband, both of whom had left the scene prior to police arrival.
Upon completion of taking statements from the victim, the deputy received information from one of the OSP troopers, that the possible suspect vehicle was at the Boiler Bay RV Park, north of Depoe Bay. The deputy responded to the trooper's location, and found he was out with the two suspects. The deputy made contact with 52 year old Ralph Lester Pene, of Kernville, OR, and his 43 year old wife, Kathy Diane Pene, also of Kernville, OR. The deputy then arrested Kathy Pene for Assault IV and Ralph Pene for Harassment. Both subjects were transported to the Lincoln County Jail where they were each lodged on $7,500.00 bail.
