Summary:
On June 9, 2007 Lincoln County Sheriff’s Forest Deputy Gary Davey cited 38 year old Abel Hernandez-Fabian, 28 year old Rafael Mandoza Luna, 44 year old Enedino Ramirez-Nava, 25 year old Bernabe Chavez-Gonzalez, 36 year old Jose Alvarez-Rodriguez, 19 Luis Barragan Gonzalez and 26 year old Oscar Ortiz-Medina all of Newport into Lincoln County Circuit for the Cutting / Transporting of a Minor Timber Product and Criminal Trespass II. Deputy Davey found the subjects trespassing on Forest Capital timber property located to the south of SE 98th Street in South Beach, Oregon. The subjects were in possession of hundreds of pounds of Chittum without a permit. Chittum is known as the bark from a tree and is the main ingredient of laxatives used in the medical field.
