Incident: Menacing and Reckless Endangering
Date Occurred: June 7, 2007
Time Occurred: Approximately 5:27 PM
Location: W 3rd Street and Highway 101, Yachats, Oregon

Summary:

On June 7, 2007 at about 05:27 pm, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies Eric Gulbranson and Chris Miller were dispatched to the area of W. 3rd Street and Highway 101 in Yachats Oregon, regarding a report of a male that intentionally had his dog attack a group of juveniles. The deputies learned that Charles Eugene Conner, age 40 of Portland, had made threats to harm a 13 year old juvenile. After he made the threats, he let his dog loose and it attacked the group. None of the juveniles were injured. Conner was arrested and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for Menacing and two counts of Reckless Endangering. Conner’s bail was set at $22,500.00.
