Summary:
On May 21, 2007 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence in the 300 block on Nashville Rd. The complainant reported seeing Shiloh McConnell siphoning gas in the driveway as they arrived home. After checking the residence the complaint found a gun safe had been broken into and three firearms were missing. The complainant provided a description of McConnell and a description of a vehicle that was possibly involved.
Deputy Teem with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office located a vehicle matching the description at McConnell’s parents’ residence on Nashville Rd. Deputy Teem learned that upon his arrival McConnell had fled from the residence into the woods. With the assistance of the Oregon State Police a search for McConnell ensued. After several hours McConnell returned to the residence were he was taken into custody without incident. Three other subjects were detained and question about the incident. Two of the three stolen firearms were recovered.
Shiloh McConnell of Eddyville and Lucas Paranto of Siletz were taken into custody and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for Burglary 1, Theft 1, Theft 3 and Reckless Endangering. McConnell had a bail set at $127,500 and Paranto had a bail set at $132,500.
