Summary:
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office would like to introduce your newest Patrol Deputy, Derek Etheridge. Derek was hired and sworn in by Sheriff Dotson on May 8th. Sheriff Dotson stated, "Derek has the great character and desire to serve that we look for in all of our applicants." Derek is scheduled to attend the 16 week police academy beginning May 28th. After the academy he will return to the Sheriff's Office for approximatly 16 more weeks of Field Training and Evaluation before he will be assigned to solo patrol. Derek is a recent graduate of Oregon State University and grew up in nearby Blodgett, Oregon.
