Summary:
On March 25, 2007, at approximately 7:00 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Gulbranson and Sergeant Ralph Turre were dispatched to the area of mile post 2 on N. North Bank Road, Otis, regarding a report of a traffic crash that was caused by a domestic disturbance. Officer Litten of the Lincoln City Police Department also responded to assist. Deputy Gulbranson responded and investigated the incident. Deputy Gulbranson learned that Edward P. Slagle, age 42 of Eugene, Oregon had struck his brother, causing him to crash his vehicle. Slagle then chased his brother down N. North Bank Road making threats to harm him. Slagle also caused damage and broke out several windows to his brother's vehicle. Slagle was taken into custody without further incident. Slagle was transported to the Lincoln County Jail and lodged for Menacing, Harassment, Reckless Endangering, Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief I. His bail was set at $50,000.
