Summary:
On March 30th, 2007, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Sorby conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Buisness Highway 20 and NW 5th St in Toledo. The vehicle was a red Chevrolet pickup. The driver, Walter Young of Toledo, 51, was speeding going 69 in a 45. When Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Sorby contacted Young he could smell a heavy odor of alcohol. Deputy Sorby asked Young if he would perform field sobriety tests and he did. Young failed the field sobriety tests. Young was placed under arrest for DUII and was transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Young refused a breath test. Young's bail was set at $7,500 and he was also cited for refusing a breath test.
