Summary:
On March 17th, 2007, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Sorby conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 101 and East Devils Lake Rd. in Lincoln City. The vehicle was a red Nissan Sentra. The driver, Valentine Ricardo Jimenez, of Lincoln City, failed to use his turn signal when changing lanes. When Sheriff’s Deputy Sorby contacted Jimenez he could smell a heavy odor of alcoholic beverage. Deputy Sorby asked Jimenez if he would perform field sobriety tests and he did. Jimenez failed the field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DUII. Jimenez was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he took a breath test which registered a .14 percent BAC. Jimenez was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with bail set at $7,500.
