Summary:
The attached photograph is of Deputy Eric Sorby. Deputy Sorby was hired by your Lincoln County Sheriff's Office on September 1, 2006. Prior to this he worked as a dispatcher in Benton County and had several years experience as a police cadet for the city of Corvallis.
On December 22, 2006 he graduated from the Police Academy in Salem. Deputy Sorby has since completed your Sheriff's Office's 17-week Field Training and Evaluation Program. Deputy Sorby attended the last 10-week DPSST Academy class. The academy has now increased to 16 weeks in order to provide higher quality training to the men and women in Oregon law enforcement.
On March 5, 2007 Deputy Sorby began "Solo Patrol" status and is ready to provide excellent customer service to the citizens of Lincoln County. Sheriff Dotson stated, "Deputy Sorby has great character and integrity and is a good addition to your Sheriff's Office."
