Summary:
On February 11, 2007 at about 11:30 p.m. Lincoln Couty Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a driving complaint involving a light blue Dodge Shadow four door car traveling south on U.S. Hwy 101 near mile post 149 at a high rate of speed. Deputy Cummings located the vehicle traveling south near mile post 155 and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with the driver, identified as Rafael Arredondo-Gomez, age 30 of Newport, Oregon, Deputy Cummings detected signs of impairment. After completing a DUII Investigation Deputy Cummings arrested Mr. Arredondo-Gomez for Driving While Under the Influence and transported him to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged. Mr. Arredondo-Gomez was also cited for Driving While Suspended. Mr. Arredondo-Gomez's bail was set at $7,500.00.
