Summary:
On January 17, 2007 Lincoln County Sheriff’s Forest Deputy Gary Davey cited 49 year-old Kenneth Jones, a transient of Newport, into Lincoln County Circuit Court for Offensive Littering. Jones was cited after failing to break down his camp and clean up the trash he disposed of over the past few months on private property he was asked to vacate.
Deputy Davey also submitted for arrest warrants on 43 year-old Joseph Dauenhauer and 41 year-old Frances Basso-Steele, also transients in Newport, for Offensive Littering. Dauenhauer and Basso-Steele also failed to clean up their campsite which they were asked to vacate along with Jones when the property owner learned of them camping and disposing of trash on the property.
