Summary:

Shortly after 11:00am on January 20, 2007, Oregon State Police troopers contacted Shiloh Michael McConnell, age 28 of Eddyville, on a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Nashville Road, Eddyville, Oregon. Your Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene to assist. McConnell had a felony parole warrant for Abscond. Your Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office also had probable cause to arrest McConnell for Felony Attempt to Elude, Misdemeanor Attempt to Elude and Reckless Driving. Additionally, McConnell had an outstanding warrant out of Lincoln County for Fail to Appear on charges of Assault IV, Menacing, Strangulation and Driving While Suspended.

During the traffic stop, McConnell fled from the vehicle on foot toward his residence. After several commands from the officers on scene for him to stop, McConnell was caught on the porch of the residence and taken into custody.

McConnell’s mother, Cynthia Plunkett McConnell, age 55, also of Eddyville, was contacted at the scene. Cynthia McConnell had prior knowledge that Shiloh McConnell was wanted for felony Charges and also a felony parole warrant. Cynthia McConnell was hindering the apprehension of Shiloh McConnell by transporting McConnell and failing to yield to a police vehicle. Cynthia McConnell was charged with Interfering with a Peace Officer after refusing to comply with instructions while police were attempting to take Shiloh McConnell into custody.

Deputy Abby Dorsey lodged Shiloh McConnell at the Lincoln County Jail on a no bail parole board warrant and Resisting Arrest. Deputy Dorsey lodged Cynthia McConnell at the Lincoln County Jail for Hindering Prosecution and Interfering with a Peace Officer. Her bail was set at $32,500.00. Further charges are anticipated for Shiloh McConnell from your Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
