Summary:
On 01-07-07 Deputy Teem and Deputy Dorsey with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were checking the area of Elk City for Shiloh McConnell 28 years of age of Eddyville, OR. McConnell is wanted on outstanding Felony Warrants.
Deputy Teem observed a black Mazda 626 commit several traffic violations in the area of milepost 2 on Harlan Rd. Deputy Teem attempted to conduct a traffic stop, where the vehicle sped up failing to stop. Both Deputies pursued the vehicle at speeds reaching 65 MPH on gravel roads. The vehicle turned onto Updike Rd. where it continued at a high rate of speed.
On North Beaver Line Rd. the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and crashed over an embankment. The driver identified as Shiloh McConnell fled into the forest on foot. Deputy Teem contacted a passenger in the vehicle who advised he was having a heart attack. The passenger was transported to awaiting fire and medical personnel. Deputies checked the area with the assistance of the Oregon State Police and were unable to locate McConnell.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is asking citizens to assistance in locating McConnell. Anyone with information regarding McConnell’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Lincoln County dispatch center at (541) 265-4231.
