Summary:
On December 30, 2006 Deputy Cummings made a traffic stop on a silver 1991 Mazada Navaja for a minor traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, identified as Kurtis C. Hoch, age 19 of Waldport, OR. Deputy Cummings observed signs of impairment. After completing a DUII Investigation Mr. Hoch was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants and transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Mr. Hoch provided a breath sample and his BAC was measured at .09%.
During the DUII Investigation Deputy Cummings identified Steven B. Unger, age 18 of Waldport, OR and Danielle L. Smallwood, age 19 of Tidewater, OR as passengers in Mr. Hoch's vehicle. Both Mr. Unger and Ms. Smallwood were visibly intoxicated as well. Mr. Unger and Ms. Smallwood were cited for MIP (Minor in Possession of Alcohol) and released at the scene.
Mr. Hoch was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for DUII and two counts of Recklessly Endangering Another. Mr. Hoch's bail was set at $22,500.00 and Mr. Hoch's vehicle was Impounded. Mr. Hoch also received a citation for MIP.
