Summary:
On December 15, 2006 at approximately 4:30 PM the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the Whistle Stop Market in Depoe Bay. The caller reported a female driver struck two parked vehicles as she attempted to drive out of the parking lot. Deputy John Beckwith responded to the location and contacted Catherine Alice Stahl, age 49, of Depoe Bay. Dep. Beckwith observed Stahl was displaying signs of impairment and conducted a DUII investigation. Stahl consented and failed field sobriety tests. Stahl was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
Stahl consented to a breath test which measured her blood alcohol at .07%. Dep. Beckwith then requested a Drug Recognition Expert respond to the jail for further evaluation. Stahl was lodged at the jail for DUII, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering. Her bail was set at $22,000.
