Location:	2200 block of of NW View Ridge Dr. in Waldport, Oregon

Summary:

On November 1st, 2006 at about 3:26 a.m. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a person breaking into a car in the 2200 block of NW View Ridge Dr. in Waldport, Oregon. Deputy Cummings arrived on scene and chased the suspect on foot through a heavily wooded area. The suspect, later identified as Aaron Mitchell Simmons, age 29 of Waldport, Oregon managed to escape.

On November 13th, 2006 at about 9:24 p.m. Deputy Gulbranson and Deputy Cummings located Mr. Simmons at an address on NW Howard Dr. in Seal Rock, Oregon. When Mr. Simmons was advised he was under arrest he took off running again. Deputy Gulbranson and Deputy Cummings gave chase of Mr. Simmons through a heavily wooded area for nearly a 1/4 mile before finally catching him.

Mr. Simmons was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged for Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehilcle, Theft III and Escape III. Mr. Simmons' bail was set at $17,500.00
