Summary:
On 11-03-2006 at approximately 10:30 pm Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy John Beckwith was on patrol on Hwy 229 near milepost 1 when he observed a vehicle weaving and crossing the center line.
Deputy Beckwith stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver Curtis Van Scoyk, age 51 of Willamina. Mr. Van Scoyk displayed signs of impairment. Mr. Van Scoyk consented to and failed field sobriety tests. Deputy Beckwith took Mr. Van Scoyk into custody and transported him the Lincoln City Police Department where he consented to a breath test. Mr. Van Scoyk’s blood alcohol was measured at .15%. Mr. Van Scoyk was cited and released for DUII.
