Summary:

On November 4, 2006, at about 09:43 a.m. Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Abby Dorsey was dispatched to the Yachats Fire Dept to contact the victim in a possible assault that occurred at a residence on Yachats River Road. Deputy Dorsey contacted the victim, William Johnson, 37, of Yachats at the fire department and learned that Johnson had been in an altercation with Raymond Dean Petrick, 45, also of Yachats. Johnson was transported to the hospital in Newport for a broken lower leg.

Deputy Dorsey located Petrick in a vehicle shortly after the incident near the intersection of Yachats River Road, and NW Spruce Court. Petrick was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged for Assault IV, bail $7,500.00.
