Summary:
On 10-28-06, at approximately 6:30 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Colin Teem was on patrol in the area of Elk City when he encountered an oncoming speeding vehicle. Deputy Colin stopped the vehicle after it pulled into the driveway of a residence on Carter Street and the driver was running into the residence. Deputy Teem caught and detained the driver, identified as Frank Wayne Werder, age 53 of Elk City. Deputy Teem determined Werder’s driving privileges were suspended and that he was on probation. Lincoln County Probation Officer Snow was called and authorized the custody of Werder based on probation violation issues stemming from the incident.
Deputy Teem transported Werder to the Lincoln County Jail where an inventory search of his property revealed that he was in possession of a small amount of Methamphetamine. Werder was issued citations for speeding, Driving While Suspended, and he was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with a bail set at $25,000.00.
